About Us – The Lane Real Estate Team
A Commitment to the Customer
It cannot be stressed enough how important constant care and concern for the customer can be in a real estate transaction. The difference between a smooth transaction and a rough one is the amount of time spent caring for the needs of the customer. As the Lane Real Estate Team, we have made it our guiding principle to serve the customer above all else. Whether you are a buyer or seller, you will receive a high level of service that fulfills not only our personal pledge to you, but the type of service your home or potential home demands as well.
We have honed these skills over 20 years of combined experience in the Richland real estate market, working up from our first rental property purchase in 1986 to now almost two decades of serving buyers and sellers of all types. It is this powerful combination of local Richland knowledge and a continued commitment to serve the customer that makes us one of the most trusted, highly regarded, and professional real estate teams in the Tri-Cities area.
The Skill to Make It Happen
Because we currently own 22 rental properties in the Tri-Cities area and have worked in Richland real estate for over 20 combined years, every buyer and seller that we see benefits not only from our extensive knowledge of the area but our combined experiences over the years that have made us ready for any challenge. The real estate transaction process is all about managing the ups and downs and over our 20 combined years, we have seen enough ups and downs to be ready for anything.
All that experience has been gained through exercising honesty and integrity at every step. The National Association of Realtors, of which we are both members, makes it a high priority that each realtor understands the code of ethics set forth by the organization. We could not agree more. Remaining upfront and honest with the customer has been our practice since our first customer and will remain our practice until our last out of respect to you and your Richland home or potential property.
Colleen – Half of The Lane Real Estate Team
The beginning of my life in real estate entailed working as a loan officer for a mortgage company, exposing me to the ins and outs of consumer financing for a wide variety of properties. That experience remains with me today and is augmented in the years I’ve spent since then working with buyers and sellers.
Since buying our first rental property in 1986, I have seen ups and downs in the industry, learning from the entire experience. I have experience working with accounting and tax work, both of which have helped me gain a complete, full perspective of the real estate industry.
My personal life of course includes Joe as well as our five children ranging from 16 months to 16 years of age. Right here in Richland, we attend Bethel Church and I have been an active volunteer both inside and outside of the church.
Joe – Half of The Lane Real Estate Team
Before that first rental purchase in 1986, I spent six years in the Marines learning about leadership and communication, skills I use every day in the Richland real estate industry. I have since gone on to gain experience in a variety of areas in the real estate field including general construction and property management outside of working with countless buyers and sellers. I am a licensed General Building Contractor in California and have done it all from the foundation of a dual degree in Business Management and Marketing from Christian Heritage College.
My personal life has included being part of the National Ski Patrol, working as a volunteer for men’s ministry services through our family church, and of course, helping care for our five children.
